There is hardly any profession today that does not have women involved in it. In the Process Service office too we are seeing more women applying for jobs. The question is, 'Are women better at serving legal papers?'

According to some people, this has nothing to do with who is better. It has to do with understanding the circumstances surrounding the accused. Some men are not very good at relating with the situation. They don't know what kind of approach and body language may tick the respondent off. This often results in violence and worsens the problems for the accused.

When it comes to women, they do have an advantage over men. Most women have the natural instinct and intuition to read through the person. They understand what to say to keep the situation under control while serving legal papers. This gives them an upper hand over most male Process Servers.

We cannot overlook the fact that there is genuine risk in this profession. Respondents are already anxious; one wrong move by the server can lead to severe consequences. Sending women sometimes calms men and suppresses their confrontational reaction. Women have a way of using their instincts to decode non-vocal messages.

Toughness is not always the key to success in serving legal papers. Although most of us think that a man's being tough and robust makes them better, it is not always true. Women are result oriented, tenacious and focused in what they do. Women don't quit unless their job is complete and done with the best results. A determined woman is not afraid and can handle anything.

Before male or female process servers get to the respondent, they research the person. After knowing what they have to deal with, they head to their destination. Women take account of minor details that guide them on what to say and what body language to use while delivering legal papers.

Lastly, women have an innocent and calm voice. Besides their appearance can impact the respondent is a positive way. It can be a good surprise. Therefore, conclusively women are better at serving legal papers. However, there are many male process servers who are more experienced. They can be just as good, if not better than women.
